Extended MEtaphor
This extended metaphor is another I have written romantically. It compares a boy to a sweater. I took two completely different things and compared them, which is what you're supposed to do with an extended metaphor.
Extended Metaphor
He is the sweater that holds me tight
and keeps me warm.
His words are spun together,
becoming sentences of yarn.
The strands are woven with each other,
perfectly and shape,
displaying his feelings for me.
His colorful feelings
come together,
and create a pattern of love.
I wear his thoughts,
no matter how tacky.
His loving design
is the perfect size.
Although sometimes itchy,
I find his fit is pleasant and comforting.
He holds me tight
and keeps me warm.
